Okay, Enough Goofing Around
I designed and coded this site back in early 2023. That’s two years ago. I had even bought the domain (this very same one) for it. Though, I never deployed it and I never bothered creating content for it. I just let it go and eventually forgot about it. That’s mainly because I thought I had nothing to write about and/or I didn’t know what to write about. I think I still don’t? Well, I don’t know. You never know without trying. So, here’s me trying. Another reason, I believe, was that I was too hesitant to put myself out there.
For the last couple of years or so, I’ve been thinking about how quickly time passes by. For instance, I still can’t quite wrap my mind around the fact that 2020 was a whole five years ago. What? When? Life happens so fast, and we often fail to realize how limited —therefore, precious— our time is in this world. You wake up one day, and you’re already in your fifties.
Anyway, before this begins to sound too grim, I’m getting to the point: I want to quit putting things off for a change. I want to get out of my comfort zone. It’s too easy to curl up in your corner and to be on the observing and consuming side. I don’t want to be there, anymore.
So, you thought launching a personal website that most likely no one ever will visit is a good idea to change that.
Yes, exactly. For several reasons. First of all, finally launching this site could be considered a symbolization of my —hopefully not temporary— resolution I spoke of above. Also, writing is one of the most efficient ways of relieving and taking a load off of your mind. Hell, it already feels good to be writing this post. Also, when coding/developing apps, there’ve been many times I found a solution to problem, relied on my memory, then couldn’t remember that particular solution and spent time trying to find/apply it again. So, why not just put it on here as a reference and come back to it if/when you need it. And who knows, perhaps, it will hopefully help someone struggling with the same problem.
So, yeah, that’s pretty much it for now. Hope to see you later.
